Web engineering, since 1995.

I design, build and maintain web applications: the data model, the back end, the API and the interface on top. Software people enjoy using, and that still runs ten years later.

Thirty years, four places

  1. 1995 / 2003

    Paris

    Predictive maintenance for social housing, in Prolog, at the CNIT La Défense. Then Zonar, one of the first web CMS with a WYSIWYG editor, for Liberty Surf.

  2. 1996–1998

    Galway

    Website design, then the web interface of Nortel Networks’ Symposium call centre.

  3. 1999

    Dublin

    Back-end processing for America Online’s European payments.

  4. 2005 to today

    Locronan

    Websites for institutions and associations, Arkéa and Naval Group in Brest, configurators for Cadiou Industries in Locronan.

Configurators and calculators

My main work today: interactive product configurators, calculators and visual simulators that combine 2D and 3D drawing with web forms, for industrial products.

The customer designs a gate, a carport or a fence, sees it in 3D and leaves with a quote. The manufacturer receives clean, structured orders. For Cadiou Industries in Locronan, these tools are also used by Leroy Merlin stores in France and Spain.

Data architecture

Good software starts with its data. I model and index application data in PostgreSQL, Supabase or MySQL, so the information system stays fast and coherent as it grows.

Built for the long term

I prototype quickly, then deliver secure, production-ready applications meant to last more than ten years. On the internet, that is an eternity.

Every feature goes through development, staging and production, and is validated by automated tests before it reaches users.

Websites and content management

For associations, institutions and small businesses in Finistère, I run website projects from A to Z: design, writing, development, training for your team, hosting and security, on open-source tools.
